Leather looks cool, stylish, and durable. However, after a few uses, you’ll start to notice wrinkles, faded bits, and even scuff marks. Fortunately, you can take care of your leather shoes using ingredients you can find in your home.
1. Coconut Oil
To use coconut oil, you first need to dampen a cotton cloth and use it to get rid of dirt or dust. Next, put coconut oil on a cotton swab and rub like you are polishing your shoes.
2. Vaseline
Dip a cotton cloth into the vaseline and rub it onto your leather shoes. This also takes care of scuff marks and cracks.
3. Baking Soda
In addition to its many home uses, baking soda is great for cleaning leather shoes. All you have to do is sprinkle baking soda on your shoes. Then, dust it off after a few hours.
4. Saddle Soap
Remove dirt and mud with a damp cloth. After that, wipe your cloth over the saddle soap and polish your shoes thoroughly.
5. Toothpaste
Use a soft cloth to spread toothpaste over your shoes. Finish by rubbing with a cleaning brush.
6. Alcoholic Beverages
Spirits are also a good option. All you need is to dip the cotton swab before rubbing on affected areas.
7. White Vinegar
A salt stain can be removed this way. Rub it with a cloth after diluting it with water.
