Converse shoes are a staple shoe in every closet since they are versatile, comfortable, and stylish. The problem is that they get extremely dirt after just a few uses, or even worse if it rains. Nevertheless, you can still give your white converse shoes a brand new look once again. Here are some ways you can clean your shoes.
Ingredients You Can Use
1. Bleach
This is the simplest way you can clean your shoes. You can soak your shoes with bleach or make a paste by adding baking soda and toothpaste. However, take care since bleach can make them look old and faded.
2. Vinegar and Baking Soda
Add two parts vinegar and 1 part baking soda with some warm water to make a paste. Rub the mixture all over your shoes for a few minutes and repeat if needed. You can rinse with water or put it in a washing machine before drying them.
3. Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide
Before you start using these ingredients, be sure to wear gloves. Use half a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and mix it with 1 tablespoon of baking soda. Add water to turn it into a paste and apply it all over your shoes with an old toothbrush. Leave it for 30 minutes before rinsing.
4. Toothpaste
Use white toothpaste and apply it onto the stains with your old toothbrush. Soak for 15 minutes before rinsing.
5. Nair Polish Remover
Dip the cotton pad in acetone and rub it onto the stains. Then scrub your shoes and wash them.
